Muirfield Village to host The Presidents Cup in 2013
DUBLIN, Ohio -- PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem and four-time U.S. Presidents Cup Team Captain Jack Nicklaus announced Wednesday that Muirfield Village Golf Club will host The Presidents Cup in 2013, when the biennial competition returns to the United States. The 2013 Presidents Cup will be held Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2013.

10 who could shake up the FedExCup Top 10
Four players within the top 10 have the opportunity to replace Ernie Els at No. 1 in the FedExCup standings this week. Jim Furyk or Phil Mickelson could do it with a win or second place finish, while Tim Clark or Robert Allenby could knock him off with a win. Els has held the No. 1 spot for 10 weeks now.
On the FedExCup Line: 11 who need a Top 10
At this point last year, Tiger Woods was ranked 12th on the FedExCup points list. This year? 157th. He's one of 19 players from 2009's FEC final top 30 pacing worse in 2010, and the only one currently in danger of not qualifying. In order to get inside the top 125, the World's No. 1 golfer will need to finish in the top 8 at Muirfield Village, where he is the defending champion.

COACH GARY WILLIAMS IS MELWOOD TOURNAMENT HOST: University of Maryland alum ('68) and longtime Terrapin head basketball coach Gary Williams is tournament host for this year's Melwood Prince George's County Open, the first played at the University of Maryland Golf Course. Williams, who plays to a 13 handicap, has been the head coach in College Park for the last 21 seasons and guided the school to its first national championship in 2002.
